Swami Vivekananda said "True education is the manifestation of the perfection that already exists in a child"

In the Primary department of KDAV we follow the activity based teaching methodology. There are no formal exams but the students are assessed throughout the year. We believe that each child has the potential to be a leader par excellence. We therefore ensure that every student gets an opportunity to participate in all the school activities.

Our curriculum is more exploratory, where the students are encouraged to find information on their own and ask questions. The curriculum is based more on the day to day activities and their surroundings giving the children a practical and hands on experience.

CBSE has extended CCE to classes IX to X

Our school has decided to go ahead with CCE in Middle School also

The 'comprehensive' component of CCE takes care of assessment of all round development of the child's personality. It includes assessment in Scholastic as well as Co-Scholastic aspects of the pupil's growth.

Scholastic aspects include curricular areas or subject specific areas, whereas
Co-Scholastic aspects include Life Skills, Co-Curricular Activities, Attitudes and Values.

The focus in the Senior School is in preparing students to study on their own, prepare for examinations and become aware of the world outside which awaits them when they leave school.
